We reported on last Friday that actress Anne Heche had been involved in a dramatic accident, and suffered what are been described as severe burns following her vehicle’s crash into a residence located in Los Angeles. Anne Heche’s current condition (and her absence) was highlighted at today’s Television Critics Association meeting this afternoon. A meeting where Lifetime presented a live panel about her forthcoming production for the company. The film, Girl In Room 13 The actress was originally scheduled to attend.
However, Lifetime issued a statement before the pre-recorded panel. Thus, a statement which was hosted by the executive Amy Winter, stating. According to Variety the magazine, that
As you may have heard, Anne remains in critical state. We from Lifetime are very concerned for her. As well as the others who are affected. We pray that her family and friends remain healthy during this time of stress. You are as aware as we do. We would like to ask you to not inquire about her health. This is a very important project for Anne. Hence, as well as each and every person. We began to create the film to draw attention to the plight of human sexual trafficking. We hope this film will inspire you. Furthermore, leaves you the same way by it, as Anne was to assist us in our aim. That is, to stop the violence that women suffer.
HECHE’S ABSENCE WAS FILLED BY LARISSA DIAS:
Larissa Dias is the one who presented the panel in the absence of Heche. Also, Caren Benjamin along with the director Elisabeth Rohm, talking about the film. It is starring Dias and Heche. As a woman who is kidnapped by human traffickers. As well as the mother who is working tirelessly to save her. Rohm: “We’re all so committed to ending violence against women. Furthermore, I want to thank Lifetime tremendously for establishing this platform. We all, particularly Larissa who played the victim is committed to this cause. Although [Anne] will be very much missed. Hence, as of now I’ll say that the film has been completed. On top of that, she gave a stunning performance. It was a show of force similar to Larissa.”
A spokesperson for Heche informed the media about the condition of her on Monday saying “At the moment, Anne is in a critical state. She is suffering from a serious lung injury that requires mechanical ventilation as well as burns which require surgery. In a coma, she is, and is not fully conscious immediately following the accident.”
