NOTS, Northern Ontario Tourism Summits, also known sometimes as NOTC, i.e. Northern Ontario Tourism Conference is built on over an 80+ years of successful fall conferences. Especially, for the sake of Tourism values and Cultural Tourism values in Northern Ontario. The conferences or NOTS, the Summit are a partnership of NOTO i.e. Nature & Outdoor Tourism Ontario and DNO, i.e. Destination Northern Ontario. It heavily promotes Nature as well as Outdoor activities. Hence, with a larger than life focus on Northern Ontario, which is the best & most gorgeous part of the province Ontario.
The region has been chosen due to its attractive nature in terms of the beauty values as well as giving good revenues to the Province. Especially, in terms of annual Tourism & promotional activities in the region. The agenda of the Summits taking place on an annual basis is for the sake of promotional activities. These are set of activities that includes training workshops and information sessions for the stakeholders. Hence, as well as innovative problem solving workshops. Finally, a range of key note speakers as well as numerous activities for networking that includes a trade show of product and service providers to the tourism industry.

HOW IT BOASTS CULTURAL & REGIONAL TOURISM VALUES?
Boasting cultural & regional tourism values is not only the moto of the Govt. of province Ontario. But, it is also an agenda of the Federal Govt. The natural beauty elements are worth seeing and worth cashing in terms of the tourism sector’s key values. The sector has been affected since 2019, when the Summit was held successfully in Timmins. Further, hosted by Senator Hotel Timmins, a conference hotel in heart of Timmins. A huge part of the City of Timmins took part in the campaign along with the immediate stakeholders. Hence, while the efforts of Senator Hotel Timmins was much appreciated.
HOW IT PROMOTES THE TOURISM INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE?
As a whole, the Tourism industry in Canada is a huge industry and comprises of Canada’s 10 provinces and 3 territories. The conference as a whole promotes tourism as people coming to Canada from abroad and many different countries. Especially, outside North America is a clear sign of the quality of Tourism being promoted in the country every year. Northern Ontario Tourism Conference/ Summit promotes Tourism values in many different ways, that are international as well as regional. For the people coming from different countries into Canada as speakers and in various other roles. Specifically, for them it’s just Tourism Canada that matters. However, on the other hand for the sake of people within Canada, it’s the region Northern Ontario that counts more than Canada as a whole.
