The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
The highly anticipated and expensive prequel to Peter Jackson’s huge screen Tolkien adaptations is here finally. It’s exactly as you’d expect: stunningly performed and true to the tone and pace of the film. The eight-parter opens in an era of peace in Middle-earth in which Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) the only elf who is able to imagine the horrific future that lies just several millennia further down the time. The Elvish have become naive about the threat posed by Orcs however being haunted by the fate of her brother, specifically due to the scar made on his wrist Galadriel embarks on a solo quest to track down Sauron’s gang. A fall of sprawling fantasies is in store. Phil Harrison
