Dare I say that things are returning to a sense of normalcy?
Sure Covid-19 and racial inequalities are still in the news (Portland Oregon, being the exception). For the first time in a long time, it seems that neither is front and center in the news.
Sure people are still expected to social distance and wear masks whenever inside as well as be cognizant of racial bias and inequality when dealing with anyone.

As the temperatures soar in Southern Ontario with very little relief in sight and we enter the tail end of the summer, people are looking to get away and with air travel pretty well-grounded especially when traveling to other parts of the world, Northern Ontario is seeing an increase in visitors. Cottage country is as busy as ever.

With the hotel business not back to where it should be, people are turning to BNB’s for their vacation destination. People can control who or how they social distance within a restricted area as opposed to a hotel that has many people. Our Algonquin Lakeside Inn is a perfect example. On the outskirts of Algonquin Park, the Lakeside Inn is as busy as ever. With a limited number of rooms available, it seems to cover all the bases when looking for a vacation destination in today’s Pandemic world. Call us at 1-705-704-9778 to book your stay and enjoy the last part of the summer with your family in the picturesque surroundings of Algonquin Park.

As I mentioned, with air travel pretty well-grounded and a lot more people taking their cars for travel destinations in all parts of Ontario and neighboring Provinces, why not take advantage of MBBP/RMA Esso fuel discount.
Call us at 1-866-667-1377 to find out how you can save 3.5 cents per litre each and every time you fill your vehicle at participating Esso dealerships across Canada.

Not everything is wine and roses. Our neighbors to the south, are still seeing a record number of positive cases being reported. Sporting leagues are trying to create a bubble to keep their respective athletes safe. The NHL has a bubble in Toronto and Edmonton. The NBA and MLS soccer have a bubble in Orlando. Obviously, nothing is guaranteed and with two teams already ruled out of the MSL soccer play in tournament due to the number of positive tests on their respective teams, the bubble format seems to be the safest way to try to continue with the respective seasons of those sports that were shut down during the pandemic. The opposite approach is happening with Major League Baseball. Teams are playing their games at their home park in front of no fans but are still traveling from city to city by airplane to get to their next destination. The Miami Marlins just reported numerous positive tests on their team and as a result, their upcoming games are postponed until they get a better indication of how severe the outbreak is and whether or not they can continue to play. The Canadian Government was against this format and has told the Toronto Blue Jays that they can’t play their home games in Toronto. With the border temporarily closed for non-essential travel, the government felt that one way of controlling the spread of the virus was to restrict entry and exit of those athletes coming from or going to the United States where President Trump has loosened all restrictions on social distancing and as a result, a record number of positive cases are being reported. Kudos to the Canadian Government on their forward-thinking. They are not putting the cart before the horse. They want to make sure the people of Canada stay safe as they try to stop the second wave of the Virus that everyone is predicting will happen in the fall.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those individuals across the world who have been stricken by this terrible virus or have lost loved ones in the process. Stay safe and stay strong and we will get thru this together.

MBE is highly active in creating social awareness through social media with regards to social distancing measures and how necessary they have been in the current pandemic. Our goal is to act as a catalyst in helping the Government through tough times and enable them to bounce back from problematic scenarios. The Covid-19 crisis is still having huge repercussions on the financial sector causing catastrophic cash flows problems for most companies due to having no business activities for the last 4 months. Although various restrictions have been loosened for most businesses, it is next to impossible to get back the business you have lost over the last 4 months.
Sure the Government has tried to help with their CECRA and CERB programs but like everything else in life, these programs have their flaws.

The Health & Well-being of all our customers, clients, and stakeholders is something that MBE Inc. hopes for on a daily basis. Always take precautions and measures to keep your loved ones safe when it comes to anything regarding COVID-19.
