Victoria Day is followed not only as an observation. But, also as a holiday in memory of Queen Victoria, a significant or rather one of the most important, monarch. Which is, in the history of Canada ever to have ruled Canada. She was the longest ruling monarch until Queen Elizabeth II surpassed her reign of 63 years. Thus, as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ruled over Britain and her realms. That is, for seven decades. The seventy-year period ended on 8th Sept 2022. Thus, which ended with her demise in Balmoral Castle in Edinburg, Scotland.
Queen Victoria because of her dynamic leadership skills and attitude, which were key in taking Canada to the transformations it has achieved today. It is due to her efforts that Canada is a sovereign country today, one of the most prosperous and safe, and happy countries in the World.

Initially, it just started as a Provincial celebration. However, later it transformed into a national holiday when Canada unified as a country. British Columbia’s capital city Victoria is the city named. That is, after Her Majesty Queen Victoria of United Kingdom & Ireland. A REASON WHY THE DAY FALLS ON DIFFERENT DATES EVERY YEAR:
This is much evident that Victoria Day keeps on jumping around the calendar every year. Followed on a different date, hence, as it was in 2024. Apart from this, a different one in 2023. 24th May was a fixed date, hence, as it was earlier. Just to ensure a long weekend, it was in 1952. Queen Elizabeth II was the one who adjusted the date. To avoid a Sunday holiday, adjusted on a Monday. As it was decided later, which is before 25th May. Followed as a national holiday, hence, as it is. This allows Canadians to enjoy a long. Apart from this, a happy weekend as they celebrate Victoria Day all throughout the weekend.
Thus, as Queen Victoria was a Monarch. Someone, who holds a very special place. That is, in the eyes of her so many followers. Since her death, which happened in 1901, there are many things which have changed for good reasons.
